West Ham had a few problem areas in their side last season, one of them positions was as a winger.
Sofiane Feghouli showed promise but couldn’t deliver regularly. There was Gokhan Tore who, it is fair to say, flopped big time for the Hammers. Robert Snodgrass joined from Hull in January this year but again, like Tore, really disappointed after having such a good start to the season with Hull.
A big transfer window is really key for West Ham to really be able to push on and at least cement a top 10 finish next time out. For that to happen, David Gold and David Sullivan really need to spend the big bucks on a winger who can provide opportunities for our 20 goal a season striker… we dream!
I’ve looked at a few players that could be able to step up and deliver for West Ham. These players would all have a sizeable price tag but if we managed to sell Robert Snodgrass and Enner Valencia for example, money would be freed up for the Hammers to go big on one of these quality wingers.
