The main contenders for West Ham’s Hammer of the Year award

West Ham’s “Hammer of the Year” award is the main award at their player awards ceremony which is given to the best player of West Ham’s season which is voted by the West Ham fans.

There have been many greats who have one this award including Dimitri Payet, Paolo Di Canio, Carlos Tevez, Joe Cole, Rio Ferdinand, Billy Bonds, Trevor Brooking and West Ham and England legend, Bobby Moore.

Although it has been a season to forget for many associated with West Ham due to very poor performances, falling outs at the club, the negative stadium move, the controversy around the board and their transfers and many more, there are still many major contenders to win this prestigious award which many greats have won before.

The main contenders are players who have shown fight, flair, composure, consistency and many more key attributes throughout the season to make this season as positive as possible for West Ham and the Hammers’ faithful.
