West Ham’s goalkeeper situation has been one of many problems with their team this season, just like the right back and the striker problems.
The right-back and the striker issues are down to a lack of investment in the summer transfer window as they were obvious positions that needed fixing.
However, the goalkeeper situation is a bit different, as said, getting a new first team quality right back and striker were obvious, whereas, the goalkeeper position wasn’t an obvious issue.
Many fans thought that Adrian was a good number one to have and that Darren Randolph was a good backup who could easily replace the Spaniard, if needed.
At the beginning of the season, Adrian wasn’t his usual self, which saw Randolph come into the starting 11. At first, this seemed like a good change with many great performances from the Ireland international.
Unfortunately, West Ham’s form started to drop which saw Randolph’s form drop as well and after two key mistakes in the recent 2-2 draw away to Sunderland, he dropped for Adrian ahead of the 0-0 draw to Everton.
It is clear that there is a problem with goalkeepers at West Ham and there is a good chance that they will sign somebody in the summer.
I’ve take a look at some potential, and realistic, targets who the Hammers could consider bring in this summer:
