As transfer windows go for West Ham, you could say that last summer’s acquisitions are some of the worst in transfer history, namely Simone Zaza and Gokhan Tore. This approaching summer has to be an improvement if the Hammers want to become a bigger club who can challenge the big boys in the Premier League.
A bad summer before the London Stadium move started in catastrophe and had many fans fearing relegation come October, as well as Slaven’s future, being uncertain. But a much-needed revival saw the turn of the new year and the Hammers brought in two experienced Premier league players, namely, Jose Fonte and Robert Snodgrass and they now find themselves eleventh in the Premier League. It was clear to see that from January, we knew all about our new signings and they were able to adapt straight away, already having over 250 Premier League appearances between them.
As a fan and a season ticket holder, I would like to think this transfer window for the Hammers should be focused on bringing in English talent instead of the normal South American loan deal.
Here are five British talents the club should heavily consider signing in the summer.
