West Ham have been forced into the transfer market to find another winger after Dimitri Payet shocked the club by handing in a transfer request.
As a return to Marseille looks increasingly likely, West Ham need to act fast to replace the Frenchman and a player heavily linked with Hull midfielder Robert Snodgrass to fill the void.
With all due respect, Snodgrass isn’t exactly on the same level as Payet talent wise, and Hammers fans would prefer a more high-profile signing to come in, namely Inter Milan’s Ivan Perisic but it seems Slaven Bilic and co. have settled on the Scottish winger.
A solid player? Yes, but is he the type of player, all things considered, that the club should be bringing in this month? Well, that’s up for debate.
