West Ham’s pursuit of Scott Hogan appears to be coming to a positive conclusion.
It’s claimed that the Hammers are hopeful the deal can be completed in the next 48 hours with a £15m deal close to being agreed with Championship club Brentford for Hogan’s services.
The 24-year-old over the last 12 months has made a name for himself as one of the most prolific goalscorers in the Championship but it remains to be seen if he can cut it at the highest level.
While Hogan does have an injury history after suffering an ACL tear in his left knee back in August 2014 which forced him to miss over 560 days of football and 83 games for Brentford, he came back stronger than ever.
