These articles have become an unfortunate familiarity in recent seasons.
Over the past few years, there’s one position West Ham have needed to strengthen in more than any other, yet each year the problem persists.
The Hammers’ quest for a striker will seemingly never come to an end, and despite the January transfer window quickly approaching, I still have no faith that the problem will be fixed.
However, with optimism returning to the club following some positive results to close out 2016, there remains a faint trace of hope that our owners will finally dig into their pockets and sign a striker who can score goals and isn’t injury prone and who can fire us up the table in the second half of the season.
It sounds close to impossible, I know, but just in case Christmas really has come with a miracle this year, I thought I’d list six potential players who West Ham could realistically target in January.
