After a campaign of being behind Gonzalo Higuain and Arkadiusz Milik, a host of Premier League teams are after the signature for 25-year-old Italian striker, Manolo Gabbiadini.
More and more teams are vying for the player, with West Ham, Stoke and Everton the front runners of the race. A price of €20 million is being touted as enough to pry him from Napoli’s hands, but this is off the back of what can only be described as a disappointing season so far.
Failing to adapt to Coach Maurizio Sarri’s 4-3-3 system, he has scored 13 goals in 43 Serie A games since joining Napoli in January 2015, this probably isn’t the goal scoring output that West Ham need in their current slump.
It may take an even higher offer than the €20 million stated as Wolfsburg had a €25 million offer actually rejected by Napoli’s president Aurelio de Laurentiis. So the race doesn’t just end in England as clubs across Europe are in for the Italian.
Speculation is rife over the player’s future, with Everton a strong contender now after losing their £30 million pound man Yannick Bolasie, and Stoke’s efforts last summer ending with no fruition we will have to wait and see the teams resolve in who will get their man.
