West Ham United is a club with a lot of history, winning the FA Cup three times in 1964, 1975 and 1980. With great history, comes great players. These players are written in the history books for many reasons, bringing passion, flair, goals and much more to successful West Ham teams.
It was hard to narrow down five of West Ham’s greatest players as there have been many brilliant players to have played for the Hammers such as, Tony Cottee, Alan Devonshire, Frank McAvennie, Frank Lampard (Senior and Junior), Julian Dicks, Paulo Di Canio, Carlos Tevez and the latest Hammer of the Year, Dimitri Payet. However, these players have not made it into the top five simply because of the fact that the players in the top five are legends in the history of West Ham. Many of them being catalysts for massive successes at the Hammers.
