West Ham are looking to pry Darly Janmaat away from Rafael Benitez’s Newcastle, according to Goal.
The Hammers are in desperate need for a right-back alternative with Sam Byram as their only senior right-back in the squad. Bilic will need to add another right-back before the end of the transfer window with West Ham’s involvement in the Premier League, League and FA Cup, and the Europa League.
West Ham face competition from Walter Mazzari’s Watford and Serie-A side Napoli.

Janmaat has four-years left on his contract at the Magpies and in his contract there is no ‘get-out’ clause which could mean he very well may see out his contract until 2020. However, he is not short of offers to play in higher divisions and could be had for just £3m.
The former-PSV full-back arrived in England in 2014 for €6million, Bilic will find it hard to snatch the right-back as he is favourite of the Champions League winning manager Rafael Benitez, a man who looks to have faith in the 27-year-old.
