West Ham are looking to hijack Aston Villa’s €17million bid for Bologna midfielder Amadou Diawara, according to Sport Witness.
Reports suggest that Slaven Bilic’s is still looking to add strength and depth to his West Ham side and is looking to make an eighth signing.
The Hammers join a whole host of clubs eyeing a move for the 19-year-old including Italian clubs Milan, Roma and Napoli.
Sport Witness report that the Naples side are leading the race to sign the Guinea international but recent reports suggest that Diawara’s agent fee has halted a move to Bologna’s Serie A rivals.

If Slaven Bilic pursues interest in Diawara, it’s hard to imagine that he will start ahead of Harvard Nordtveit or Cheikhou Kouyaté.
This is the first mention of West Ham being interested in a midfielder as well as the first mention of the interest in the Bologna man.
The London Stadium will get it’s first taste of Premier League football on Sunday as West Ham welcome Eddie Howe’s Bournemouth.
