West Ham look set to complete the loan signing of Argentine striker Jonathan Calleri as per The Standard.
Calleri has been on loan at Sao Paulo in Brazil fom Uruguayan side Deportivo Maldonado but the 22-year-old made his name at Boca Juniors.
The Argentine striker scored 16 goals in 31 appearances fro Sao Paulo and has rejected offers from Sevilla and Inter Milan to sign for West Ham.
West Ham have been linked with many strikers this summer as Slaven Bilic makes signing a striker his main priority this summer and have been linked with Carlos Bacca, Wissam Ben Yedder and Alexandre Lacazette although the latter has later ruled out a move as he wants Champions League football.
Even if West Ham do sign Calleri they will continue to look for a world class striker and co-chairman David Sullivan has already stated the club are willing to splash £30m+.
West Ham were left disappointed this summer after target Michy Batshuayi decided to join Conte at Chelsea and are still waiting to hear back from AC Milan on signing Carlos Bacca.
Happy to see Calleri join the club?
