Yesterday afternoon, West Ham convincingly beat Karlsruher SC 3-0 in their last pre-season game in Austria.
The game got off to a great start with big Andy Carroll heading in from an Enner Valencia cross in the ninth minute after some good work by new boy Sofiane Feghouli.
Eight minutes later the Algerian added a second with a sublime long range strike which appeared to catch the keeper off guard.
Late on, in the 80th minute, substitute Ashley Fletcher converted an excellent cross from Aaron Cresswell to get his second in two games and make it 3-0 to the Hammers.
The game was marred near the end as a forceful challenge left Aaron Cresswell reeling on the floor. Captain Mark Noble and Vice-Captain Winston Reid rushed to the scene to confront the opposition player with many players joining in the protests.
Tensions were so high towards the end that the referee blew his whistle two minutes early.
