West Ham’s European team could be an interesting one indeed. It will be hard to know exactly who will be played, will Bilić look towards his Premier League starting XI or will he look to play people who could be on the bench the majority of time, I hope that he plays a mix between first-team and youth players such as Burke and Samuelsen.
Bilić will know his team well by the time the first Europa league game is about in just over a week, he will know how the likes of Feghouli and Nordtveit will want to play. With some big starting XI players out such as Payet, Lanzini and Ogbonna its hard to whether Bilić will change any more players before the games.
The starting XI was fairly easy to decide going with players overall ability and including some youth where the positions were needed. I went for the 4-2-3-1 that Bilić played last year as this would include some of the new signings and Bilić knows the formation well.
Here’s West Ham’s matchday squad for their Europa League opener next week.
