West Ham have shown to be active this transfer window so far. Witht the likes of Nordtveit, Feghouli, Töre and Fletcher joining The Hammers, the club are still searching for their 20-goal-a-season striker. So far, they haven’t been too fortunate in their search.
Being rejected by Lacazette and Batshuayi, the club are in pole-position for Colombian striker Carlos Bacca. However, with Bacca’s signature in doubt, the club aren’t willing to collaborate with Enner Valencia’s supposed transfer request before finishing the deal with Carlos Bacca, according to The Daily Mail.
The 26 year old Ecuadorian striker is unhappy at the club and with this chances shrinking he wants to make a transfer to Italian side Lazio Roma. Lazio have made an offer to loan the striker, but the club only want to sell the player for an estimated £11million deal. West Ham bought the striker from Mexican side Pachuca in 2014 after an impressive World Cup for £12million.
In his two seasons in East London he scored only 10 times, including a thunderstrike versus Hull City and a goal in the Europa League qualifiers against FC Astra before being stretchered off. To seal a deal with only £1million loss on a player that has flopped is a great deal by David Sullivan and David Gold.
With the differing reports on the Carlos Bacca deal, his future seems in doubt and soon enough we’ll see what the outcome will be.
