West Ham’s potential new signing Carlos Bacca some would say is world class and some would say he is unproven. Carlos Bacca could be signed for the fee of around £26 million which would break West Ham’s current record spent on current striker Andy Carroll who we bought for £15 million.
12/13 Club Brugge: 44 apps, 28 goals
13/14 Sevilla: 52 apps, 21 goals
14/15 Sevilla: 56 apps, 28 goals
15/16 AC Milan: 42 apps, 20 goals

His goal record at his last 3 clubs speaks of a potential world class signing for the Hammers with 80 goals in 155 games Bacca is currently averaging a goal every other game while competing in two of the top European leagues.
Bacca was also included in the Seville teams that won both the 2013 and 2014 finals while bagging himself the winning goals in the 2015 final. Bacca has 11 goals in the Europa league which would help West Ham with experience up top if they precede to the group stages.
Carlos Bacca has 20+ goals every season since moving to Europe.
West Ham have NEVER had a player score 20 PL goals.
See the light, people.

Bacca is a clinical finisher so if he is given the opportunity he will score a goal, with the likes of Dimitri Payet, Sofiane Feghouli and Gökhan Töre possibly behind him he will have enough service to score goals. He has the pace to break through teams back four and would bring something new to the team.
Bacca's minutes p/goal ratio at each club:
CD Atletico – 136
Club Brugge – 133
Sevilla – 142
AC Milan – 187ALWAYS 1 goal every 2 games.

Bacca would be used to the formation we play due to the fact he has played in it for the last two seasons. He is used to being the lone striker, however he doesn’t track back on the defence only making 9 out of his 35 tackles. He also only managed to win 38% of his aerial duels compared to Andy Carroll’s 48%.
He is quick, agile and strong all the features that could make him one of West Ham’s strikers since a club legend Paolo Di Canio. Bacca has scored 20 goals or more in his last 3 seasons, if he produced that sort of finishing he would overtake Di Canio in scoring the most goals in one season which was 16 and was set during the 99/00 season.
Last person to score 15 Premier League goals in a season for West Ham?
Paolo di Canio, 16 goals in 1999/00.
He was 31-years-old, too.

Carlos Bacca would be the first West Ham player to wear the number 70 shirt if he takes his kit number from previous club’s AC Milan and Club Brugge. He might choose this kit number because it was his first number and he believes that it brings him luck.
Bacca could be the 20 goal a season striker that West Ham have needed for the last few years, he has the experience of playing in European finals and could well be the striker that fires us into the Champions League or Europa league for another year running.
