According to Paul Fraser of the Northern Echo, Sunderland’s hopes of signing Senegalese forward Diafra Sakho have taken a slight blow in recent days. This is due to the fact West Ham have ‘not secured a replacement’ for him’ as the club have struck out in the transfer market on players such as Michy Batshuayi and Carlos Bacca
West Ham have been keen to sell the former Metz man for some time and his former manager Sam Allardyce is a notable admirer, however it looks as if Big Sam will have to wait for his man.

Sakho has scored 15 goals in 43 competitive games for West Ham but after an early injury he fell down the pecking order at Upton Park. He only managed five goals in his 20 appearances this season which was disappointing as he managed ten in 23 under Sam Allardyce.
Sunderland are yet to even match his valuation of £15 million, but it is evident that Big Sam will be disappointed by this latest rebuttal.
