Dimitri Payet is a wanted man and Inter Milan, who are preparing a huge £200million spending spree, are the latest side to express an interest in signing the Frenchman.
China’s Suning Commerce Group recently took over at Inter and have made a large transfer kitty available for honorary president Massimo Moratti to spend. Moratti has expressed his desire to bring Payet to the San Siro, but admits it may be difficult due to the interested parties.
“As a fan, I would love to see Payet in an Inter shirt,” Massimo, as quoted by The Metro, said
However, the great champions are currently elusive, you have to be lucky enough to find the right opportunity.
“We are missing 2-3 players to be competitive. The important thing is to have solid players that ensure continuity.”
West Ham are keen to retain Payet and the response from the player’s camp, as relayed in the press, is that the 29-year-old will only consider departing from East London if Real Madrid come calling. Zinedine Zidane is an admirer of Payet, but it is thought the Spanish giants are unwilling to match West Ham’s asking price of £60million.
