Besiktas have slapped a huge €17million price tag on West Ham target Gokhan Tore, according to Turkish source FutbolArena.
West Ham were already unsure as to whether they should continuing pursuing a deal with Tore, with alternate targets being available cheaper. Slaven Bilic was very keen on a reunion with the Turkish forward in East London, but even Slav would say €17million is too much.
Besiktas have already knocked back two bids (€9million and €11million) from West Ham, which sparked an outburst from the Club’s president Fikret Orman.
“Gokhan Tore I’m not willing to sell. I want him to play in the Champions League,” Orman, as quoted by Turkiye Gazetesi, said. “Gokhan is a good player but I can sell for a better price in a year. You have to get good money, then we review it.”

Orman may be focused on exploiting Tore for as much money as possible, but he risks upsetting the player – who has already expressed his desire to join West Ham.
Last week, the 24-year-old told Turkish source Yazbir: “I have a contract until 2019 with Beşiktaş. But I completed my mission here.”
If you get my fee, I want to play at West Ham.
Bilic wants Tore, Tore wants West Ham and Besiktas want a sale, but if the asking price remains at €17million, a deal will not materialise.
