When the England starting eleven was released at 6:45pm there were plenty of questions being asked of Roy Hodgson, who had rung the changes.
Only five of the starting line-up that beat Wales last Thursday survived. Kyle Walker, Danny Rose, Wayne Rooney, Dele Alli, Raheem Sterling and Harry Kane were replaced by Nathaniel Clyne, Ryan Bertrand, Jordan Henderson, Jack Wilshere, Jamie Vardy and Daniel Sturridge.
There was a certain someone that the West Ham fans felt should have been there instead.

Don't care if he scores tonight Henderson is bang average, should be bottom half prem at best. Rather have mark noble in the squad

Roll on 10pm and even the neutrals had come to their senses.
Literally no reason to bring Wilshere to this tournament. I'd bring Mark Noble or Drinkwater ahead of him any day of the week.

Mark Noble and Danny Drinkwater are better than Henderson

I still don't understand how Henderson is good enough for England? Where's Mark Noble?

Some even thought England needed more West Ham players than just Noble in the side after the disappointing result.
Players they could've taken instead of Jordan Henderson
– Drinkwater
– Mark Noble
– Antonio
– Prince William's kid

Next up for England is their first knock-out game against the second-placed team from Group F – one of Hungary, Austria, Iceland or Portugal.
None of these sides should really pose a problem for England but, considering how they have fared in the tournament so far, you know they will.
