It’s that time of year again. Silly season is well underway and the rumour mill is in full swing. The summer transfer window hasn’t even officially opened yet, but that hasn’t stopped the papers from linking West Ham with every Tom, Dick and Harry.
The rumours have gone from one extreme to the other. From £40million bids for Lyon striker Alexandre Lacazette to interest in Belgian goalkeeper Jean-François Gillet, who currently plies his trade with Catania in the Italian Serie C.
Two players have actually arrived and signed for West Ham. German defensive midfielder Harvard Nordveit from Borussia Monchengladbach and Algerian forward Sofiane Feghouli from Valencia, both on free transfers. And it is expected that a few more will follow them through the door.
Here is a run down of the five most likely (I use the term loosely) signings to be made by West Ham in the remainder of the window.
