Michail Antonio says West Ham aren’t concentrating on a top four place, despite it still being a possibility for the club.
The winger-come-full-back says that there’s very little conversation in the dressing room surrounding a Champions League spot, there’s just ‘banter’.
The Englishman said (quotes via the Express):
We’re not really overly focusing on it because it can distract us from the games we have ahead so there’s not much conversation about Champions League, it’s more banter in the changing room. It would be an unbelievable achievement if we managed to do it.
We’ve got ten days to recuperate and build on what we’ve done and, hopefully, we do get there. But right now we’re not really concentrating on that.
The Hammers, with Antonio on the pitch, strode past Watford in midweek with a 3-1 victory to go just five points behind Manchester City with four games to go.

Antonio himself won the second penalty of the game to further the lead of Slaven Bilic’s side.
It’s a tall order for West Ham to claw back the current deficit, and obviously requires City dropping plenty of points, but there is still a possibility – especially considering the Sky Blues are still left in the Champions League with a glamour tie against Real Madrid to come.
Next up for Antonio and his teammates – West Brom away, April 30th.
