West Ham skipper Mark Noble is excited by the prospect of playing alongside new signings Dimitri Payet and Victor Moses after describing the Hammers’ 2-0 victory over Newcastle as a better result than the 3-0 victory over Liverpool at Anfield, on West Ham’s official website.
Payet, who has been in outstanding form this season since signing from Marseille in the summer, produced another man of the match performance against Newcastle on Monday night; scoring both goals in the victory at the Boleyn Ground.
And Noble has revealed he is a player that the club need to look after, and hopes the Frenchman can continue his fine form this season.
He said:
It is great from my point of view as I have played a bit further forward in recent games and I played a part in his first goal. I knew as soon as I laid the ball off to him that he would score as he is that kind of player and having confidence like that is key.

Payet opened the scoring in the 9th minute with a brilliant curling effort into the top corner, before doubling the lead in the 48th minute; when he was on hand to convert Victor Moses’ effort which rebounded off the bar.
And Noble believes Payet showed his class with his second goal, calling it a “great finish.”
The second finish is harder from my point of view as the ball was in the air a long time and it was a great finish. Victor was fantastic and was gutted that he could not score himself.
Moses joined West Ham on a deadline day loan move from Chelsea, and immediately impressed Noble.
He continued:
He brought us pace and strength. Victor is a great lad and doesn’t show too much emotion. It was a big decision from the manager to play him as he left Pedro [Obiang] out and he was fantastic against Liverpool.

We have the added quality that Victor brings to the team and you can see the quality we have got on the bench with big AC [Andy Carroll], [Nikica] Jelavic and Mickail [Antonio] who is hungry and looks really strong in training. It is exciting.
Slaven Bilic’s men now face a tough trip to early league leaders Manchester City on Saturday, but Noble insists they will travel to the Etihad looking to get a result after recording away victories against Arsenal and Liverpool.
We just need to keep working hard again this week. We cannot think we have done it and it gives us a bit of leeway going into the Manchester City game and try and get a result.City are by far the best team and they have not conceded a goal yet. That would be a major feat if we could score. Everyone knows how good they are and their players seem to be back on it. We have also got a good team and when you look at our first three away games, to already have six points is exciting.
