Ricardo Vaz Te might be on his way back to the Premier League, with Sky Sports reporting he’s training with West Bromwich Albion ahead of a potential move to the Midlands. This comes just a few months after he departed West Ham United for Akhisar in Turkey on a free transfer.
Vaz Te moved to Upton Park in a €600,000 deal from Barnsley in the winter window of 2012 after a fairly prolific time at Oakwell. He played a big part in the Hammers’ return to the Premier League from the second tier, scoring 12 goals in 18 appearances during his first half-season in London.

However, he found goals much harder to come by once he was in the top flight, and scored just 3 during West Ham’s first season back in the Premier League despite making 24 appearances. The following year, he managed just 8 appearances with 2 goals, and then 4 with 0 goals in the first half of last season before moving to Turkey in January.
However, he rediscovered his goal-scoring touch to an extent in the Turkish Super Lig, netting 5 times in 14 appearances, 9 of which were off the bench. He’s training at West Brom ahead of a potential move, although he’s likely to play a backup role at the Hawthorns if he signs on.
