Emmanuel Adebayor could be closing in on a move to East London after being dropped by Tottenham’s squads for the upcoming season.
The Togo forward looked to be on the move over the summer with both the Hammers and Aston Villa interested. However, the players high wages stopped any move from happening over the window.
The former Manchester City man was a key figure in Tottenham’s side after his arrival in 2012, with most of his success coming under Tim Sherwood. However, with the evolution of Harry Kane last season, his time in a white shirt looked to come to an end.

Tottenham have today confirmed that they have removed the 31-year-old from both their Europa League and Premier League squads.
Spurs have also stripped the Togo striker of the infamous number 10 shirt, handing it to Harry Kane.
The Telegraph reported that Adebayor refused a pay-off from Spurs this week as he needed a ‘sign from God’.
As things are going, Adebayor is set to play no football until at least January, unless he takes Spurs offer of a pay-off.
