AC Milan have joined the race to sign long-term West Ham target Alex Song from Barcelona. Corierre Dello Sport, an Italian sports newspaper, reports that the Serie A outfit are looking into a possible loan deal for the former Arsenal man.
The 27-year-old had a hugely successful loan spell at the Hammers last season with the club spending the summer attempting to bring Song to the Boleyn Ground on a permanent basis from the Camp Nou.
Last season Song appeared in a West Ham shirt 31 times with fans left purring over his strong commanding performances in the centre of the park for Sam Allardyce’s side. The Daily Mirror’s James Whaling recently reported that the club were looking to resurrect a move for the Cameroonian who has plenty of interest from across Europe.
Song is out of contract at the end of the season, but Barcelona are looking to move the former Irons loanee before the transfer window shuts next week.
