According to reports in the Hurriyet, West Ham are preparing a bid for Besiktas’ Canadian international midfielder Atiba Hutchinson.
The 32-year-old is believed to be available for roughly €7m, but the Hammers do not want to step over the €5m mark, with Hutchinson entering the latter stages of his career.
With Besiktas lacking in top quality central midfielders, it would be a surprise if they allow Hutchinson to depart the club, as Veli Kavlak and Tolgay Arslan both nurse long-term injuries.

Hutchinson has played for a host of clubs, including Copenhagen and PSV, and was coached under the tutelage of current Hammers boss Slaven Bilic for two seasons, so the two are familiar with each other’s style of work.
The east London side were previously interested in Hutchinson, while managed by Sam Allardyce, but at the top opted to sign Pedro Obiang.
If Hutchinson does decide to join Bilic in east London, the club will be taking an international midfielder, who made 43 appearances last season, scoring two goals and bagging three assists.
