Queens Park Rangers have put numerous Premier League clubs, including West Ham, on alert as they have lowered the asking price for Charlie Austin, according to reports from The Mirror.
The 26-year-old looked destined to leave Loftus Road after their relegation to the Championship after he finished as the 2nd highest English scorer, earning him an England call-up. However, no club wanted to meet the £15million value put on by his club.
But after realising that their price was a bit too high, they have lowered their expected value of Austin. They are now willing to accept offers of £13million for the striker, just as long as it is paid in full.
Earlier this summer, West Ham reportedly put in a bid of £10million plus Matt Jarvis which was turned down by QPR. It is unlikely that if another similar bid is placed that it will work as QPR will not listen to any player exchanges.
Austin is also wanted by Tottenham and Newcastle as well as the Hammers. Newcastle may still be put off by the price tag as they already spent big on a striker this summer in Mitrovic. Spurs are still in the market for another striker, and home-grown Austin could tempt Pochettino.
