Interview With A Star Of Spencer FC

We were lucky enough to talk to passionate West Ham United fan Seb Carmichael-Brown, brother of YouTube phenomenon Spencer FC. He gave us his thoughts on the club past, present and future.

1) What do you make of the Hammers being in Europe this season; will it hamper our league form or provide us with a fun ride?

I am looking forward to the ride for sure. I see it as a great pre-season to kick start our league campaign. Let’s get a solid start under our belts and then see what happens!

2) What do you make of the new arrivals so far this summer, and who is your favourite pick of the new bunch?

Obviously a lot of noise is being made about Dimitri Payet, and let’s hope he can deliver the goods. However, a great signing is the extension of Aaron Cresswell’s contract in my opinion. Hopefully we can add one more striker and I think we might have our best ever Premier League squad.

3) Do you think Slaven Bilic is the right man for the job following Sam Alladryce’s dismissal?

I think time will tell. His appointment has certainly got the fans excited about the new season, so let’s hope the results can go his way. Big Sam got a bad deal in my opinion as he fulfilled every objective the board set him, just a shame that the fans couldn’t take to him. He had to go to get the excitement levels up and sell some season tickets! Good appointment I think, he has done well in the window so let’s all get behind him; COYI!

4) What is your personal favourite West Ham moment of all time?

8th of May 1993. The moment Clive Allen slotted home in the final goal of the season at home to Cambridge United when we gained promotion to Premier League for first time. ‘And they are definitely in the Premier League now’ was the commentary; I used to listen to it over and over again on my season highlights VHS! A pitch invasion followed.

5) What are your thoughts on the move from the Boleyn Ground to the Olympic Stadium?

Very excited about the move. My brothers, my father and I have our tickets already sorted for the new ground, as well as this upcoming season, so look forward to celebrating the end of the Boleyn era and the beginning of a new chapter together. I’m hoping it will bring us the additional revenue to kick on and stop the relegation battle years from coming back, and look only up the table from now on.
