For whatever reason, it never clicked for Enner Valencia at West Ham. The Ecuadorian international striker spent two full seasons with the Hammers following his £12m move from Mexican side Pachuca following his impressive performances at the 2014 World Cup, but he only found the net on 10 occasions in 72 appearances for the club. […]
It’s not been a season to remember for Gokhan Tore. West Ham shelled out £2.5m to bring him in on a season-long loan from Besiktas because of the links with Slaven Bilic who was able to unlock his potential during their time together in Turkey. However, the winger struggled early on in the season and […]
It’s been nearly 13 years since Mark Noble made his West Ham debut. Not a day has gone by that Noble hasn’t been 100% committed to the cause in east London, regardless of the club’s league position or of the field difficulties. He’s a rare breed of player – a true one-club man, and with that comes a […]
Andy Carroll’s fine form of late has not gone unnoticed. The Mirror are reporting that due to the lack of available striking options right now, England manager Gareth Southgate is considering calling up Carroll to fill the void. Wayne Rooney missed Manchester United’s last game through injury and is considered in a deeper role for England these days, while […]
Recruiting a new striker or two is something West Ham need to focus on in the summer transfer window and one of their reported targets has made a move to make a summer transfer more likely. Hamburg striker Bobby Wood has changed agents from SportsTotal to the Volker Struth group as he continues to assess his […]
The time has come for West Ham to start thinking ahead to next season following the crushing 3-2 defeat to Bournemouth last weekend. Currently, it’s abundantly clear that the squad is not good enough right now. The depth in certain areas is weak and a lot of the players just simply aren’t up to the […]
With Dimitri Payet now firmly in all of our rear-view mirrors, we’ve begun to move on from the shock loss of our star man in the January transfer window. It was clear that the Frenchman was unhappy for a long time and told us all that he wanted to leave West Ham for personal reasons […]
West Ham’s performances offer more positivity than their results of late. Hard done by against the Baggies when they grabbed a last-minute equaliser and unable to break down a resolute Watford side and ultimately coming away with two points rather than all six – and the Chelsea defeat was to be expected. Next up for […]
Defensively speaking, West Ham have committed a number of individual errors this season which have led to goals being conceded. The acquisition of a strong, no-nonsense defender would go a long way to righting the wrongs of this season and according to the London Evening Standard, West Ham are keen on signing Middlesbrough centre-back, Ben […]
West Ham’s start to the 2016/17 season was rather terrible. Another shock Europa League exit, compiled by a slew of injuries and bad results in the league left the Hammers looking down rather than up. Summer signings weren’t working out, and Slaven Bilic was rumoured to be edging closer to the axe. Fortunately, a winter […]
We knew coming into this game that it was going to be tough going up against the Premier League leaders. What you must do is not gift them opportunities to score, which we did. After starting the first half really brightly, a high press was employed and West Ham looked dangerous when the delivery was […]
While West Ham’s goalkeepers have had their ups and downs in recent seasons, Slaven Bilic seems perfectly happy with the two he has at the club right now. Darren Randolph, the club’s current No.1 between the sticks, impressed in limited opportunities last season and was a standout performer for the Republic of Ireland at Euro […]
