Fulham vs West Ham team news – A clean slate

West Ham United will be without just two players for their trip to Fulham, with no new injury doubts for the Premier League clash. The Hammers head across town in desperate need of points to aid their survival attempts.

On the pitch, they will only be without two players, with Adama Traore ready to face his former club. The midfielder joined on a special request from Nuno Espirito Santo, who worked with the player at Wolverhampton Wanderers.

In his pre-match press conference, Nuno mentioned that he had banned the former Barcelona player from doing one thing at the training ground:

“It’s incredible [his physique], it’s genetics. [But] his genetics has been like this for some time now and he should avoid the gym,” said Nuno.

“I’ve told him to stay out of the gym. It’s one of the things that I think he needs to realise. It’s enough weight that he carries.

“He’ll do prevention work [in the gym], but he’s not in there lifting weights.

“For example, [Under-21s defender] Airidas Golambeckis, he spends hours in the gym – we have to get weight on him. He’s the one that needs some muscle, it’s the other way around.”

Further team news

Traore has only played five times for the Hammers so far and will need to take his chance when he get’s it. It will goals or bust for the big bodied winger.

Whilst Traore may get in from the off against his former side, Freddie Potts will miss out for one more game. The home grown midfielder has been serving a suspension since he was sent off in West Ham’s FA Cup win over Burton Albion. Pott’s will be available this weekend as the competition returns, with the Hammers heading to Brentford.

Pablo Felipe remains side-lined with a calf problem, but could return in the coming weeks. The club are being cautious with the Brazilian given the nature of the muscle injury.

Elsewhere Nuno will have a full squad to pick from, as he prepares his West Ham side to go into Craven Cottage searching for three points.
