According to a report from TodoFichajes, Rice already has a favoured destination across London.
The report claims that Chelsea will ‘bet very heavily’ on the 27-cap England ace and look to complete a £120million deal.
So far this season Rice has scored four times and registered four assists in 33 appearances across all competitions.
READ WEST HAM VERDICT
Valued at £67.5million and under contract in East London until 2024 (Transfermarkt), the mooted fee would be in-line with the likely demands from West Ham.
However, if the club is going to continue to progress as hoped, keeping hold of its most prized asset is crucial.
Already the first name on David Moyes’ teamsheet, Rice has established himself as a star player for both club and country.
Albeit yet more speculation, interest and perhaps even offers for the powerful defensive midfielder are inevitable, the club must stand strong throughout.
