West Ham reportedly ‘retain an interest’ in Marseille defender Duje Caleta-Car ahead of the January transfer window.
The Hammers are expected to seek defensive reinforcements having lost Angelo Ogbonna and Kurt Zouma for prolonged spells due to injuries.
Already linked with a host of possible arrivals, Caleta-Car continues to be amongst those tipped to arrive at the London Stadium.
According to a report from The Telegraph, as cited by Talkin West Ham #GSBOUT on Twitter, the Irons and newly mega-rich Newcastle United are keen on the Croatian.
West Ham United are interested in a deal to bring Duje Caleta-Car to the London Stadium in the January transfer window.
However it is also claimed that Newcastle United are also interested in a move for the 25-year-old.

The report claims that David Moyes has been ‘forced to look at potential signings’ and could revisit the interest in the 20-cap ace.
So far this season Caleta-Car has earned an impressive 7.17 Sofascore rating from eight Ligue 1 outings.

Valued at £14.4million and under contract in France until 2023 (Transfermarkt), bringing the 25-year-old to East London for the previously mooted £15million fee would represent exceptional business for the Hammers.
Strong in the air and an experienced top-flight operator, Caleta-Car has the quality to become a mainstay in David Moyes’ side beyond the current injury crisis.
At an affordable price and with a trophy-laden career already in the bag, the Croatian has to be a leading candidate for West Ham.
