West Ham have been named among the clubs interested in Blackburn Rovers star Ben Brereton Diaz.
The 22-year-old has been attracting attention this season for his exploits in the Championship and for Chile having been discovered as eligible to play for the South American nation.
Born in Stoke, the former Manchester United and Nottingham Forest youngster has reportedly caught the eye of Irons’ boss David Moyes.
That’s according to talkSPORT journalist Alex Crook live on air.
He’s just about the hottest property outside the Premier League right now, his name is Ben Brereton Diaz. 17 goals in 22 games this season. We understand he is attracting interest from the likes of Leeds and West Ham in the Premier League.
Previously an England youth international, Brereton Diaz has now been capped on nine occasions and scored three goals for Chile.
So far this season the man hailed as ‘excellent’ by Colin Hendry as netted 17 times and provided one assist in 22 league outings.

Valued at £9million and out of contract at the end of the season (Transfermarkt), signing the Blackburn man in January for a bargain fee would appear to be a plausible mission.
Somewhat of a rising star at the youth international level, recent performances would suggest that Brereton Diaz is now ready to make the step up to the big stage.
Irons’ boss Moyes is likely to be desperate to add a striker as an injury-prone Michail Antonio suffers somewhat of a goal drought. An in-form Chilean international could be the perfect tonic.
