West Ham are believed to be ‘closely interested’ in signing FC Copenhagen striker Jonas Wind.
Irons’ boss David Moyes is expected to re-enter the market for a centre-forward after failing to replace Sebastien Haller in either the January or summer transfer window.
That has left Michail Antonio as the only recognised frontman in the Hammers’ squad.
According to a report from Jeunes Footeux, as cited by Sport Witness on Twitter, West Ham could target a 22-year-old Danish ace.
The report claims that Newcastle United are also keen but the Superligaen side will want in excess of €20million (£17million) for the 12-cap star.
Wind has backed up a remarkable 15 goal and eight assist 2020/21 campaign with eight strikes and five assists in just 18 appearances this season.

Valued at £6.3million and under contract in Denmark until 2025 (Transfermarkt), the mooted £17million demand is reasonable value for money.
Now a regular feature at the senior international level, Wind recently scored the only goal of the game as the Danes edged past the Faroe Islands.
An out and out centre-forward, the 6’2 Copenhagen powerhouse is noted for possessing strong aerial ability and stamina – two attributes that would endear Moyes to the signing.
