West Ham have reportedly set about attempting to sign Juventus midfielder Weston McKennie.
The 23-year-old was linked with a switch to the Hammers in the summer but any move failed to materialise.
Since then the USA international has made a strong start to life in Serie A whilst David Moyes signed midfielder reinforcements in the shape of Alex Kral.
According to a report from Football Insider, as cited by RumorsTransfersNews24/7 on Twitter, the Irons remain interested in the Texas-born ace.
The report claims that West Ham have ‘opened talks’ to sign the 25-times capped combative midfielder.
Signed on a permanent basis this summer following a successful loan spell from Schalke for £22.7million (Sky Sports), McKennie has made five appearances so far this season.
Despite the recent acquisition, the report claims that the Old Lady would be ‘open to a deal’ for their new man.

Singing Kral on deadline day has lessened the need for additional midfield reinforcements.
However, were the Czech Republic international fail to earn a permanent move, reigniting an interest in McKennie would be a worthwhile venture.
Valued at £22.5million and under contract until 2025 in Italy (Transfermarkt), any move for the American would come at a cost for the club.
