West Ham are reportedly set to offer a new contract to young defender Ben Johnson.
The 21-year-old signed a new deal in 2019 to take him up to the end of this season.
However, the club look to be set to make an offer in order to tie the London-born starlet down for a further three years.
That’s according to a report from Claret and Hugh claiming that the Hammers want to keep Johnson at the London Stadium for the foreseeable future.
The versatile full-back is among a host of Irons due to become free agents in 2022, as highlighted in a previous Tweet from West Ham News & Views.
Johnson has made 25 senior appearances as an Iron, scoring once against Brighton & Hove Albion in a 2-2 draw last season.
This term the academy graduate has made two appearances and could be in line to make a third at Old Trafford when David Moyes names the side to face Manchester United.

Valued at £2.70million (Transfermarkt), West Ham would be wise to extend the ace’s deal.
Allowing players of his ilk to leave for nothing is poor business and given the additional versatility, Moyes will need Johnson throughout a packed season.
