West Ham youngster Harrison Ashby looks to be on the verge of joining Celtic on a season-long loan deal.
The 19-year-old Scotland youth international looks set to head north of the border for the 2021/22 campaign having featured prominently for the Irons’ youth sides.
According to sports reporter Christopher Dodds on Twitter last night, the Scottish Premiership giants are ‘exploring’ a move for the versatile defender.

That stance was then backed up by reliable Hammers’ insider ExWHUemployee on Patreon as West Ham take full part in the deadline day drama.
Ashby made a first-team debut in the Carabao Cup clash with Charlton in 2020 before playing 69 minutes against Hull City in the second round of the same competition.

Predominantly a right-back, it comes as no surprise that the club would allow the Scotland Under 21 ace to leave on loan this season.
David Moyes currently boasts Vladimir Coufal and Ben Johnson as fit and available options, two players well ahead of Ashby in the current pecking order.
Therefore, gaining important senior experience at a high level makes perfect sense for all parties.
