West Ham have been linked with a sensational move for Juventus midfielder Weston McKennie.
The Hammers could face competition from Premier League rivals Everton and Aston Villa for the 22-year-old USA international.
Irons’ boss David Moyes has seemingly prioritised a defensive and an attacking signing, choosing to rely on Declan Rice, Tomas Soucek and Mark Noble in the midfield department.
That could change during the final days of the transfer window however as a report from TuttoSport, as cited by Louis (West Ham Central) on Twitter, claims that the east Londoners are interested in the American.

Capped on 24 occasions at senior level, McKennie only recently completed a permanent switch to Juventus from Schalke following a loan move.
Last season the ace once hailed as ‘unbelievable’ by USA coach Gregg Berhalter scored five and registered two assists in 34 Serie A outings.

Valued at £22.5million and under contract until 2025 at the Allianz Stadium (Transfermarkt), singing the 2020 American Footballer of the Year would represent an expensive outlay this month.
Albeit the partnership of Rice and Soucek is as strong as any in the Premier League, beneath the combative duo the Hammers look thin on the ground.
With Europa League football likely to test the squad to the extreme and Noble calling time on an illustrious career at the end of 2021/22, adding a player of McKennie’s quality would no doubt strengthen the ranks.
