West Ham have reportedly been left ‘rocked’ as star midfielder Declan Rice rejected a new deal at the London Stadium.
The 22-year-old was offered a new and improved contract recently in order to stave off interested parties.
However, the notion was rejected and now it seems that Rice is set on an eventual move away from east London.
That’s according to a report from The Mirror, as cited by Chris Doyle on Twitter, claiming that the England ace believes he is being ‘priced out’ of a transfer.

This follows a report from The Telegraph claiming that the man hailed as ‘outstanding’ by Wayne Rooney during the Euros, will run down his current contract with the Irons.
The report claims that the Hammers are ‘unhappy’ by the 24-cap ace’s stance following manager David Moyes seemingly placing a £100million price tag on the midfielder.
Last season Rice scored twice and registered one assist in 32 Premier League outings – earning a 7.08 average Sofascore rating in the process.
READ WEST HAM VERDICT
Valued at £63million and under contract until 2024 (Transfermarkt), there is certainly no rush from a West Ham perspective to sell their prized asset.
Whether the club would be willing to allow the situation to rumble on much further however is another matter altogether.
Each passing year the Irons will be losing money on a potential transfer fee and without a change in sight, the club may be forced to sell at the next opportunity.
Similar to the situation that saw Jack Grealish leave Aston Villa this summer, West Ham must obtain maximum value for their star in order to suitably recruit and replenish the squad.
