Former Tottenham manager Glenn Hoddle has claimed that David Moyes should be receiving more plaudits for the work done at West Ham this season.
The 58-year-old inspired the Hammers to a 22-year high sixth-place finish in the Premier League having guided the club to safety in 2019/20.
With a European adventure now on the cards next term, the Scot has been touted as one of the candidates for the Manager of the Year accolade.
Despite fierce competition from Pep Guardiola, Marcelo Bielsa and Brendan Rodgers, the 63-year-old pundit has told his Glenn Hoddle Footy Show podcast that Moyes should be the leading contender.
There are all different ways of judging a manager’s work. Look at Tuchel, he came in halfway through the season and they finish in the top four, they’re in a Champions League final and they’re runners-up in the FA Cup. My word, that is some feat. There are all sorts of managers we could talk about, David Moyes is another that should be talked about for what he’s done at West Ham.
Hoddle did go on to nail his colours to the mast and suggest Manchester City boss Guardiola should ultimately come out on top – however, the recognition for Moyes did not go unnoticed.

This campaign truly has been a superb one for the Irons – masterminded almost entirely by the ex-Everton manager.
Had injuries not played their part in the run-in, West Ham could’ve been playing UEFA Champions League football next season. A measure of how far the side has come.
