West Ham are once again being linked with a move to sign veteran Chelsea striker Olivier Giroud.
Perennially linked with a move to the Hammers, David Moyes is believed to be eyeing up a potential swoop for the 34-year-old in the summer as the Scot goes in search of a Sebastien Haller replacement.
Giroud us out of contract at Stamford Bridge at the end of the season and both the Irons and Crytal Palace have been touted with an interest – along with AC Milan.
This comes from a report in the Italian outlet Calciomercato, as cited by WHU News on Twitter, which also claims Chelsea still harbour hopes of convincing the Frenchman to stay in west London.

Since the arrival of new manager Thomas Tuchel at Chelsea, Giroud has found himself way down the pecking order with both Timo Werner and Kai Havertz preferred.
All told this season, the World Cup winner and France’s second all-time record marksman has managed 11 goals in 31 appearances across all competitions.

One day, this deal may actually come to fruition.
Although many may see the Frenchman’s best days as behind him and question the sense in signing such a player – there can be little doubting the 6’4 striker’s continued quality.
On the rare opportunities Giroud has had to feature this season, he has impressed – none more so than a superb four-goal haul against Sevilla in the UEFA Champions League.
As a free transfer perhaps on a one or two year deal along with a more long term striking arrival, this would make plenty of sense.
