Four former West Ham players have been shortlisted for a place in the Premier League Hall of Fame after Thierry Henry and Alan Shearer became the first two inductees on Monday.
As the fans are asked to vote for the next players to be inducted, Academy of Football graduates Rio Ferdinand and Frank Lampard have been nominated.
Those two sit alongside former Hammers strikers Les Ferdinand and Ian Wright among the 23 league icons who could be set to join the inaugural inductees.
Unsurprisingly the topic has caused a stir on Twitter and fans have been suggesting other Hammers who could make the cut.

Although the four names may have only spent fleeting parts of their ultra-successful careers in east London – the quartet still made 335 appearances in claret and blue combined.
Lampard makes up the majority of those outings with 172 West Ham appearances, scoring 32 goals in that time before heading to Chelsea.

Although the aforementioned players may have enjoyed their trophy-laden careers elsewhere, West Ham can still be immensely proud of academy starlets Lampard and Ferdinand, particularly for the part the club played in their development.
Moreover, to have four former Irons named in the illustrious list is an achievement in itself and one that reflects well on the Premier League era for the Hammers.
