A West Ham striker target in Anthony Lozano has opened up in an interview over links with a move to the London Stadium.
West Ham ultimately failed in their objective to sign a new striker following the departure of Sebastien Haller, though Moyes was content under the belief that the club would be burdened by buying a target that did not suit them.
However, Cadiz CF striker Anthony Lozano was one such target that was desired by the West Ham hierarchy.
Now plying his trade in La Liga following promotion last season, local media had declared that the 27-year-old would not be lured by the Hammers’ interest.
AS [via SportWitness] conducted an interview with the marksman, and the second portion of the interview discussed the Irons’ rumoured interest:
He said: “I don’t know, the truth is that I don’t know if it was real (he says with a laugh). They didn’t tell me anything. They always get rumours.
“I am very happy here. I want to end the season here, that we save ourselves and then let’s see if I can continue here for many years.
“The truth is that the people of Cádiz are similar to those of Honduras in character. They are very happy people who are always messing around, as they say here. I adapted very quickly, like Tenerife, also in terms of weather.”

The Honduras international does not boast the most prolific record in Spanish football.
He scored nine goals and registered two assists to help Cádiz get promoted to La Liga last season, but only has three goals in 20 appearances since his loan from Girona became permanent.
West Ham should aim higher if they are to plug the depth gap up front.
