West Ham fans have been reacting to reports over the weekend claiming Blackburn Rovers will demand £25m for striker Adam Armstong this summer.
The 24-year-old has been in sensational goalscoring form this season and it is widely expected the Hammers will make their interest concrete at the end of the season.
However, with the frontman’s former club Newcastle United awaiting a 40 per cent sell-on fee for Armstrong, the Irons could be made to pay in excess of what would be a normal valution.
Armstong, a former England Under 21 international, is valued at £9m by Transfermarkt and has entered the last 18 months of his contract at Ewood Park.
West Ham fans have been reacting to the reported demands on Twitter and it’s fair to say there’s little appetite among the Irons faithful…
Twitter: @WestHamViews_ @TheSunFootball Way too much, I would rather get En Neysri or Toney (@ScoutSoucek)
Twitter: @WestHamViews_ @TheSunFootball Far too much valuation on his head, leave him there for that money and wait another… https://t.co/qTZ5RpxBJH (@hammerhead1981)

Twitter: @WestHamViews_ @TheSunFootball No thanks, good player but 25 bit over the top (@Jinglis01492553)
Twitter: No chance they get that fee in my opinion. He will go for a lot cheaper than that, and hopefully to us.
