West Ham fans excited by Craig Dawson update

Many West Ham fans were jubilant after insider source ExWHUEmployee delivered a major update on the Hammers’ prospects of converting their loan deal with Craig Dawson into a permanent one.

The source claimed that Watford and West Ham agreed an obligation to buy the player worth £2.5m,– and the obligation is automatically activated when the 30-year-old has featured in ’15 or 20 games’. Whilst the conditions for activation appear to be ambiguous, the source nonetheless issues a reliable scope in which the obligation is triggered.

Dawson, who is valued at £3.6m by Transfermarkt, has made 13 appearances so far in all competitions – meaning the clause could come into effect imminently.

The former West Brom centre-half has only featured in 40% of available minutes and starting line-ups in the league this season, but the experienced defender only broke into first team regularity over the winter (Transfermarkt).

Signed on loan from Watford in the summer, the below-value loan cost for West Ham indicates that Dawson is one asset on whom the Hornets are prepared to cut their losses.

Many West Ham fans were euphoric over the “perfect” revelation, taking to Twitter to express their delight in the hope that a deal is concluded soon…
