A training ground fight at West Ham would ordinarily be a provocative call for alarm and a symptom of a dressing room ruptured with low morale and simmering anger.
However, Monday’s training ground fracas was much the opposite – it was a snowball fight in which members of the Hammers’ squad took advantage of the rare snowfall in London to have a playful battle with one another.
The club posted a series of photos to its official Twitter account showcasing numerous examples of key squad figures pelting each other with frosty projectiles.
The parent photo was captioned ‘*Cress just minding his own business*’ before referencing club captain Mark Noble as ‘Nobes’ ambushing an innocent-looking Aaron Cresswell with a snowball. The likes of Jesse Lingard, Declan Rice, Jarrod Bowen and Mark Noble were just some of the familiar faces who could be seen engaging in wintry combat on Monday.

West Ham fans will be hoping for plenty of low-driven shots against opponents, but it was snow-driven shots which caught the eye on this occasion.
Many Hammers fans took to Twitter to make light of the snowball fight, with some drawing upon different aspects of the training photos and offering their own humorous takes…
