Many West Ham fans have been hailing the remarkable debut impact of Jesse Lingard as the Manchester United loanee kickstarted his spell in east London with a brace against Aston Villa last night.
The 28-year-old was a bundle of energy all evening and his goals helped the Hammers close the gap to the top four in the Premier League once again.
Perhaps a surprise inclusion having only arrived on deadline day. David Moyes’ decision was proven to be more than justified, with the former England regular producing the goods in what was his first league outing of the entire season.
