Fabled West Ham insider ExWHUemployee has claimed that the club could look to offer Declan Rice a new contract soon in order to prevent the much sought-after midfielder from leaving.
The 21-year-old has been a long-time target for London rivals Chelsea, and plenty of reports have suggested that the Blues would come back in for the midfielder in the near future.
However, speaking on his West Ham Way podcast, the insider delivered a promising update over the England man’s future, with a potential new deal on the cards despite his current contract having plenty of time left to run.
Unsurprisingly, many of the Irons faithful have reacted with overwhelming delight at the prospect of hanging onto perhaps the most prized asset at the London Stadium.
