West Ham forward Said Benrahma was in international action for Algeria on Monday and his performance has drawn the attention of numerous Hammers fans on Twitter in a big way.
Algeria drew 2-2 with Zimbabwe, a result which meant the nation qualified for the Africa Cup of Nations 2022. Manchester City winger Riyad Mahrez netted a superb goal owing to a Benrahma assist, but it was the 25-year-old summer signing from Brentford who was the star of the show.
Benrahma arrived at London Stadium just over a month ago but is yet to make his full debut for his new club.
David Moyes alluded to a slow bedding-in process for his recent signing and has been true to his word. However, after his performance on his sixth cap for Algeria, the Irons boss may be tempted to include Benrahma from the start when the Premier League returns next weekend.
Here’s how some West Ham fans reacted to the 25-year-old’s international exploits…
